Tuition and administrative (semester) fees

Tuition and administrative fees have been in effect at the LMU Munich since the summer semester of 2007. Further information about the fees, possibilities for loans or exemptions can be found here: LMU-Website

Starting with the winter semester of 2009/10, new criteria for the waiver of study fees have been added. If a student has a sibling paying study fees at another European university, for example, he/she may apply for a waiver. The deadline for submitting the waiver application is October 31.

The utilization of tuition and administrative fees is a transparent process and anyone can and should gain insight into their expenditure.

The reports of how the fees were used by the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy may be found at the LMU websites.

To make study at our Faculty more flexible, members of the Student Union and the Tuition and Fees Committee have decided to offer financial aid to Master's students who wish to create individual study programs. In connection with the creation of individual study programs, students may apply to the Dean's Office for financial aid for internships here and abroad, visits to trade fairs, participation in research projects, workshops and conferences, etc.
Financial aid, if granted, will be paid retroactively.

Please note that students are not under any circumstances allowed to receive financial aid from more than one public source. If, for example, a student receives financial aid from DAAD, PROMOS, Auslands-BAfög or similar institutions (limited Erasmus), he or she may not apply for aid under the "individual study Programs".
