Solid-State NMR at the LMU

Dr. Jörn Schmedt auf der Günne (CV, contact)

We are an Emmy-Noether group at the Department of Chemistry of Munich University (LMU). Our main research interests are structure and properties of amorphous, disordered and microcrystalline inorganic materials, such as the main-group nitrides of the Schnick group. For this purpose we develop and apply solid-state NMR techniques.

We have just moved to Siegen University. If you need an oral examination for one of my lectures, please write an email.

possibilities:

-diploma/bachelor/master projects

subjects:

-low-temperature synthesis of phosphates
-structure and properties of disordered materials
-development of solid-state NMR methods
-calculation of NMR properties
-development of "new" inorganic glasses
-functional defects in nano-particles
